After breaking up with his partner Yai Ariza, with whom he says he is 'still on really good terms,' the 'Old Town Road' hitmaker reveals that he is 'more in love' with what he's doing.

AceShowbiz - Lil Nas X is getting real on the reasons why he's currently hitting pause on finding someone special. In a new interview, the "Industry Baby" rapper revealed that he's "focusing" on himself after noting that dating is a "real responsibility."

In his cover story for GQ magazine's 26th annual Men of the Year Issue, the "MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)" hitmaker explained, "It's a responsibility. I've been wanting somebody for so long and wanting somebody to love for so long, but it's a real responsibility." He added, "And you have to give this person your time."

Lil Nas X further elaborated, "I like to go missing for like a week to focus...not talk to anyone and focus on myself." The "Old Town Road" rapper went on to confess, "And I'm more in love with what I'm doing than people."

Elsewhere during the candid interview, Lil Nas X unveiled that his failed romance with his ex Yai Ariza "was the most serious relationship" he's ever had. The 22-year-old musician also shared that he started "dating [his] last boyfriend this past year," with whom he said he is "still on really good terms."

Lil Nas X confirmed that he dated Yai, who appeared in his "That's What I Want" music video, in September. The emcee first sparked relationship rumors with his ex-boyfriend a month prior when he said that he'd "found someone special." Then in late September, he announced that he's single again.

In October, Lil Nas X revealed that he's "still very much in love" with Yai. "We were dating, and we are still on very good terms," he told SiriusXM's Hits 1 LA hosts Tony Fly and Symon. He then hinted at possible reconciliation as saying, "You know, we may date again I'm sure."

"I love him, he is amazing," Lil Nas X further gushed. "I wanted to kind of focus on my music right now. [He's] the best person I have ever dated... I am still very much in love, I'm like trying to manage... If it's meant (to be), it will happen in the future, life is long."
