The first pair to dance for the redemption round was Cody and Cheryl Burke. They danced the Salsa to "Danza Kuduro" by Don Omar and Lucenzo, the dance which they could not perform together due to COVID-19. "The race to finale starts with a bang. You really got the energy and the excitement going, your hips were so much better, grounded but lighter. Good job, so much better," judge Bruno Tonioli said. The pair got 35/40.

Following it up were Melora and Artem Chigvintsev, who danced the Rumba to "I Don't Want to Wait" by Paula Cole. "The rumba seems easy, but there so much happened, it was refreshing to see a pure rumba, well done," Derek Hough commented. Meanwhile, Carrie Ann Inaba shared, "Your hip action was greatly improved, we lost a little bit in the expression in your arms." They got 36/40.

Dancing a redemption Foxtrot to "Haven't Met You Yet" by Michael Buble were Suni and Sasha Farber. "In the last couple of weeks something magnificent is happening. That was full joy, full potential, full confidence, that is what I want to see," Carrie Ann said. Len Goodman called it a "joyful, happy dance." The judges gave the pair 37/40.

Later, JoJo and Jenna Johnson hit the ballroom to do a redemption Argentine Tango to "Santa Maria (Del Buen Ayre)" by Gotan Project. The judges were impressed by the performance, with Len simply calling it "bloody brilliant." Derek gushed, "It is actually quite common to see two males dancing Argentine tango together and its really cool to see full circle two women dancing Argentine tango together. It was so impressive, so clean, the articulation. It was beautiful, exquisite, and bloody brilliant routine." The pair got a perfect score.

Iman and pro-dancer Daniella Karagach, meanwhile, danced a redemption Tango to "Telephone" by Martynas. "The frame was unbelievable to see you dance that way. You have so much magic when you dance, it was profound, love both of you," Carrie Ann commented. Len also praised Iman for his "vast improvement." The pair earned 37/40.

Dancing a redemption Tango to "Titanium" by David Guetta featuring Sia Furler were Amanda and her pro partner Alan Bersten. "Forget titanium, that was platinum. It was the clear-cut brilliance of a diamond. So brilliant, so slick," Bruno said of the performance. Carrie Ann commented, "You danced that tango like the boss that you are, but your leg came off the ground." Amanda got 39/40.

Melora and Artem kicked off the second round by dancing a Contemporary to "Thunder" by Imagine Dragons. "Melora, we can always see and feel your love of dance, and thank you so much for that. You have truly been a powerful presence on this floor," Derek raved, while Carrie Ann called her "the most beautiful lyrical dancer." Melora earned 36/40.

Up next were Cody and Cheryl, who opted for an Argentine Tango to "La Cumparsita" by Forever Tango. "If you like the Argentine tango red hot, they've got it. Well done," Bruno said. Len added, "In the first few weeks you got a six from me and you have come so far, brilliant." Cody was given 36/40.

JoJo and Jenna returned to the stage to dance a Contemporary to "Before You Go (Piano Version)" by Lewis Capaldi. Len loved it, saying, "You mix artistry with athleticism and when I look at you, I got underpants older than you and you dance with such maturity, it was fantastic." Bruno agreed, calling the routine "stunning." Jojo once again got a perfect score.

Iman and Daniella then danced a Jazz to "Dark Fantasy" by Kanye West. "That had more lifts than Uber, they were spectacular. It was lyrical, a little staggering, our bodies are similar," Len praised him. As for Carrie Ann, she loved that Iman brought "something different, you bring spectacular, artistic, and athletic, everything I want to see in a dance." He got 38/40.

Amanda and Alan performed a Contemporary to "Live Your Life - Nick Cordero" by Lenii. Derek said, "There are moments when you do something for you and I am happy that you will always have this moment. Well done."
