In a sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey during her 'One Night Only' concert special on CBS, the 'Easy On Me' songstress gushes over her boyfriend by calling him 'hilarious' and 'very smart.'

AceShowbiz - Adele is getting candid about her romance with Rich Paul. In a sit-down interview during "Adele One Night Only" concert special on CBS, the "Easy On Me" hitmaker revealed that being in a relationship with LeBron James' agent is the first time she's ever "loved" herself.

On Sunday, November 14, the Grammy-winning artist told Oprah Winfrey that her current relationship marks the first time she has "loved myself and been open to loving and being loved by someone else." She said, "It's just timing. But it'd be interesting to see what my reaction is like in general to anything that hurts me now that I feel so secure in myself, and I'm talking outside of romance as well."

Elsewhere during the chat, Adele gushed over her boyfriend. "He's just hilarious. Oh, he's so funny, he's hilarious, yeah. And very smart. You know, he's very, very smart. It's quite incredible watching him do what he does," the "Someone Like You" singer shared. She went on to add that there's an ease to their relationship. "It's just been very smooth," she stated.

Adele also opened to Oprah about her split from ex-husband Simon Konecki, unveiling that she quit drinking while going through her divorce. "Once I realized I had a lot of work to do on myself, I stopped drinking and I started working out lots and stuff like that to keep me sort of centered," she confessed.

However, Adele credited Simon for his positive influence during their marriage. "I think Simon probably saved my life, to be honest. He came at such a moment, whereas the stability that him and Angelo have given me, no one else would ever have been able to give me, like, especially at the time in my life," she told the media mogul.

"I was so young and I just think I got a bit lost in all of it. He came in and was stable," Adele continued. "The most stable person I've ever had in my life up until that point, even now I trust him with my life."

Though so, Adele admitted to feeling "embarrassed" as her relationship with Simon had failed, just as her parents'. She noted, "I take marriage very seriously and it seems like I don't...That's what it should be."

"When we have kids, we stay together, and I tried. I was so disappointed for my son, I was so disappointed for myself," Adele explained. The "Rolling in the Deep" songstress stressed, "Nothing as scary as what I've been through in the past two years behind closed doors."

During the concert special, Adele performed at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles for a star-studded audience that included Drake, Selena Gomez, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kris Jenner, Ellen DeGeneres, Gayle King, James Corden, Lizzo, Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade, Melissa McCarthy and more. She kicked off the show with the song "Hello" and performed new songs from her upcoming album "30", as well as popular favorites from her previous albums, including "When We Were Young", "Someone Like You" and "Rolling in the Deep."

Before the special aired on Sunday evening, Adele shared via Twitter that she had "never been so nervous" in her life. She also called the Griffith Observatory "the most beautiful venue" she's ever played.
