The 'Sex and the City' star is praised by the 'Watch What Happens Live' host for firing back at criticism over her aging appearance when they're spotted out having lunch in New York City.

AceShowbiz - Sarah Jessica Parker is praised by Andy Cohen for slamming backlash of her gray hair. The "Sex and the City" star was applauded by the "Watch What Happens Live" host after she fired back at "misogynist chatter" about her appearance.

When making an appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show", Andy talked about Jessica who recently responded to criticisms she received over her gray hair. The backlash was sparked after he and the 56-year-old actress were spotted having lunch in New York City.

Speaking to Drew Barrymore, Andy, who described that he himself has "white hair," shared, "[Jessica] is sitting next to me... and all the articles [are] 'Sarah Jessica Parker, she's going gray, she looks old.' " The "Vanderpump Rules" host fumed, "It was insanity. People just missed the mark totally." He then asserted, "It was misogynistic, and she was so right."

"I think this new 'Sex and the City' iteration is going to be quite revolutionary because from what I understand, it's going to show the women living vibrantly in their 50s and at this stage in their lives," Andy continued. The 53-year-old TV personality added, "She's not going to be running around in a tutu and high heels, they are going to be living in their 50s as beautiful women. I think it's going to be a wonderful message."

In her cover story interview for Vogue's December issue, Jessica herself recalled stirring the internet into a frenzy when she was spotted dining with Andy. "There's so much misogynist chatter... I'm sitting with Andy Cohen, and he has a full head of gray hair, and he's exquisite. Why is it okay for him?" she told the magazine.

Jessica went on to point out that people could be judgmental "especially on social media." The six-time Golden Globe winner elaborated, "Everyone has something to say. 'She has too many wrinkles, she doesn't have enough wrinkles.' "

Sarah continued, "It almost feels as if people don't want us to be perfectly okay with where we are, as if they almost enjoy us being pained by who we are today, whether we choose to age naturally and not look perfect, or whether you do something if that makes you feel better." The "Hocus Pocus" star added, "I know what I look like. I have no choice. What am I going to do about it? Stop aging? Disappear?"
