Parker's endorsement also mentioned her love for her country, the LGBTQ+ community, women, democracy, and "love." She concluded the post by saying, "With an abundance of joy, optimism and pride I am voting for Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz."

Parker's reference to Carrie Bradshaw is a subtle jab at GOP vice presidential nominee JD Vance, who previously made disparaging comments about American women who don't have children. Vance said in a 2021 interview on Fox News that Democrats are led by "a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices they've made."

Parker's endorsement is not the only time the "childless cat lady" trope has been used to criticize the Democratic ticket. Taylor Swift also signed off her endorsement of Harris and Walz in September as "Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady."
