Bharti Shahani, who attended the Friday, November 5 show with her sister Namrata Shahani and cousin Mohit Bellan, is currently breathing through a ventilator.

AceShowbiz - Bharti Shahani was declared brain dead after getting injured at Travis Scott (II)'s Astroworld festival. Her family confirmed to ABC 13 Houston that the Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University student is now in critical condition and breathing through a ventilator.

The 22-year-old girl attended the show with her sister Namrata Shahani and cousin Mohit Bellani. However, they were separated when the crowd surged. Namrata and Mohit both lost their cellphones and were not able to locate Bharti.

"Once one person fell, people started toppling like dominos. It was like a sinkhole. People were falling on top of each other," Mohit told the outlet. "There were like layers of bodies on the ground, like two people thick. We were fighting to come up to the top and breathe to stay alive."

Bharti was then rushed to Houston Methodist Hospital by ambulance and she was given CPR on the way there. "Once we let go of her hand, the next time we saw her, we were in the ER," Mohit shared.

"The doctors, they say the chances of survival are nothing, which I have not even spoken to my wife until now. We keep saying we'll pray," Bharti's father, Sunny Shahani, told ABC. "I request all of Houston to pray for her. Maybe the prayers might work as a miracle for her."

Eight people died at the Astroworld music festival, which took place on Friday at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. The youngest victim to die was a 14-year-old boy called John Hilgert, who's a freshman at Memorial High School in Houston.

The other victims included 16-year-old Brianna Rodriguez, a junior at Heights High School in Houston, 21-year-old Franco Patino, a student at the University of Dayton from Naperville, Illinois, 23-year-old Rudy Pena and 27-year-old Danish Baig. A hundred others, meanwhile, were injured in the chaos of the show.

Travis is now facing multiple lawsuits following the incident. The latest to launch legal action against the "Sicko Mode" rapper is civil rights attorney Ben Crump on behalf of Ezra Blount. It's reported that the nine-year-old boy is in a medically induced coma after being "kicked, stepped on, and trampled" at the chaotic festival.
