The 23-year-old made the announcement on Saturday, October 6 via Instagram Story. "Please have the families of those who we lost yesterday reach out to @shawnholiday. I'll b donating my net compensation to the families of this incident," he pointed out.

At least eight people died during the festival, which took place at NRG Park in Travis Scott (II)'s hometown of Houston, Texas. The youngest victim to die was a 14-year-old boy called John Hilgert, who's a freshman at Memorial High School in Houston.

The other victims included 16-year-old Brianna Rodriguez, a junior at Heights High School in Houston, 21-year-old Franco Patino, a student at the University of Dayton from Naperville, Illinois, 23-year-old Rudy Pena and 27-year-old Danish Baig. Meanwhile, hundreds were injured in the chaos of the Friday's show.

Following the incident, Travis shared a statement on Twitter, saying that he was "absolutely devastated" over the tragedy. He also posted an emotional video on Instagram, claiming that he had no idea people were dying at his concert.

"Anytime I could make out, you know, anything that's going on, you know I stop the show and, you know, help them get the help they need," he said in the clip. "My fans really mean the world to me. I always just want to leave them with a positive experience. I could just never understand the severity of the situation."

"Everybody continue to keep your prayers. I mean, I'm honestly just devastated and I could never imagine anything like this happening," Travis added. "I'm going to do everything I can to keep you guys updated and keep you guys informed of what's going on. Love you all."
