The 'Hips Don't Lie' hitmaker recalls the 'crazy' boar ambush, claiming onlookers just watched when she was screaming for help during the wild animal attack.

AceShowbiz - Shakira has shared more details of a "crazy" incident in September (21) when wild boars snatched her handbag.

The singer was relaxing in a Barcelona park with her son when they were ambushed by two large hogs - and, according to the "Gypsy" singer, onlookers "weren't doing anything" to help them out.

"I was taking my son, Milan, for a walk in the park and I got him a little ice cream," she told Glamour UK. "We sat on one of those park benches and we were just minding our own business. And then two huge wild boars came from the back and ambushed (us) and took my purse!"

"And I was like, 'Oh, my God! Oh, my God!' and screaming, because they were taking it away, with my phone in it, my car keys, everything! Like they could understand me! And people were just watching and they weren't doing anything!"

She added, "They started digging inside my purse…obviously my son's sandwich was inside the purse, so that's why they were so interested. So they took the sandwich and walked away and left my purse. It was wild."

Shakira previously opened up about the encounter on her Instagram Story, sharing with fans: Look at how two wild boar which attacked me in the park have left my bag.

"They were taking my bag to the woods with my mobile phone in it. They've destroyed everything. Milan, tell the truth. Say how your mummy stood up to the wild boar."

Boars are becoming a huge problem in Barcelona, with police receiving calls about them attacking dogs and running into cars in recent years.
