The pre-sales for 'Rocky IV: Rocky vs. Drago' that offers unseen footage and behind-the-scenes look are outperforming the Love Yourself tour by the Bangtan Boys.

AceShowbiz - Sylvester Stallone's "Rocky IV" revamp is packing a punch for bosses at Fathom, becoming the special events company's biggest hit of the pandemic.

Pre-sales for "Rocky IV: Rocky vs. Drago", which will debut in Fathom locations on 11 November (21), are outperforming the firm's BTS World Tour Love Yourself in Seoul, which debuted with $2.86 million (£2 million) at 997 locations in January, 2019.

Stallone's director's cut features 40 extra minutes of never-before-seen footage of the 1985 sequel, starring Sly and Dolph Lundgren, and fans will also be treated to a Stallone question-and-answer session in select Fathom locations and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film.

"Rocky IV: Rocky vs. Drago" will become available on-demand the day after its Fathom debut.

Sly previously explained the reason why he chose Dolph Lundgren for the fourth "Rocky" movie despite disliking the actor. "I really wanted a big, horrible, vicious guy," he opened up. "Like a primitive. And I couldn't find him. I'm finding giant wrestlers and football players, and that. And then all of a sudden the door opened, the smoke came in, there's light... shoulders this wide, everything was perfect."

He went on, "Even his calves were coming through his clothing. Just muscular. Blue eyes are staring into my soul. He was the real Terminator, and I was like, 'I hate this guy. He's too perfect. And if I loathe him, I'm sure the world will.' "
