AceShowbiz - Boosie Badazz (Lil Boosie) has reacted to Big Freedia defending him amid backlash over his homophobic rant against Lil Nas X. Taking to his Twitter account, the Baton Rouge star applauded the raptress for coming into his defense in a recent interview.

"THANK U @bigfreedia," so Boosie wrote on the blue bird app on Thursday, October 28. "N THOSE WHO WHO THINK I HATE GAYS R LOST [double exclamation mark emoji] but I'm go let y'all keep taking up for someone who says 'F**K YOUR KIDS' SMH #sad #sad."

Still, some Internet users were not having it. "Are youuu a good example for 'the kids' racking up felonies, leasing houses and cars , screaming homophobic obscenities on twitter at a man 2 decades younger than you while not responding to you, AND telling him to commit suicide??? YOU are lost," a person noted.

Another critic sarcastically replied, "Okay? That's way better than SOMEONE paid somebody to ACTUALLY f**k their kids." Echoing the sentiment, one user added, "the only person who is lost is him….yall use kids as an excuse to backup your homophobia knowing good and damn well them kids dont give two f**ks if you gay, straight, bi, pink or f**king purple they just like catchy s**t so literally stfu for once damn."

Big Freedia herself got her own share of criticism for defending Boosie by saying that he's not homophobic because the rapper has worked with gay people before. "You gon' have those. You gon' have homophobic people and you know, us as the gay community we have to just keep pushing," the "Louder" raptress told TMZ earlier this week. "We can't let everything and everybody bother us with they words. We have been fighting forever and we gotta continue to be tough."

The "Rent" musician went on to say, "I don't think Boosie is homophobic, I just think he has a problem with Lil Nas." She also noted that Boosie has worked with "lots of gay folks" in his movie "Struggle", saying, "He has a whole gay scene in jail where he has like, a lot of the gay guys from Louisiana representin'."

She added, "When people get upset they say whatever's on they mind and on they heart. But, they keep trolling each other. It's wasted energy this going back and forth."
