The 'Boyz' hitmaker is reportedly working with her team to take a step further with the negative social media trolls following the blackfishing controversy over her music video.

AceShowbiz - Jesy Nelson is said to be struggling to deal with the severe social media trolling in the wake of her blackfishing controversy and drama with Little Mix. The "Boyz" songstress reportedly found the public backlash "a bit much."

A source close to the 30-year-old star and the girl group spilled to The Mirror, "It's all getting a bit much." The informant added, "The last thing she wanted was to be embroiled in a Little Mix vs Jesy feud. The Girls have been through a lot together and she truly believes everyone can co-exist in the industry without the war of words."

"Jesy's team are trying to protect her from negative trolls," the so-called inside source further explained. "Comments about 'disrespect' only amplify things further," the insider added, before pointing out, "Everyone needs to take a step back."

The report came after Leigh-Anne Pinnock appeared to reference the drama between her, Jesy and Nicki Minaj in an emotional birthday speech, defending her "character." Holding back tears, Leigh-Anne said, "I'm 30 years old. I know my character, you know my character, anyone that meets me knows my f**king character and that's all I care about."

"I'm so proud of everything I've achieved," Leigh-Anne added. She then praised her fiance, Andre Gray, as saying, "The most beautiful fiance, who I'm still obsessed with even after five years. I love you."

Leigh-Anne continued, "And the two most beautiful, perfect f**king babies…everything I stand for, everything I'm fighting for, it's for them [the twins]. You best believe everything I f**king stand for, everything that I am fighting for, it's for them." She then vowed, "I will never stop. I have found my voice now and I will continue to use it. Tonight we celebrate life, health, good friends and amazing family. I love you all."

Defending his fiancee, Andre chimed in, "You can put this on Instagram or whatever and if you have anything to say, come and find me." He further stressed, "She's my baby mother, my wife. If you're going to try and disrespect my baby mother, my wife, my fiancee and my children, there's gonna be a problem."

Prior to Leigh-Anne's emotional speech, Nicki called her out during an Instagram live session with Jesy. At the time, the "Super Bass" raptress alleged that Leigh-Anne had "selective outrage" over Jesy, who was accused of blackfishing in the music video for her debut solo single, "Boyz". Shortly afterwards, Leigh-Anne hit the unfollow button on the rapper's Instagram page.

During the live session, Jesy also apologized publicly for potentially offending anyone after being accused of blackfishing. "I personally want to say that my intention was never, ever to offend people of color with this video and my song because like I said, growing up as a young girl, this is the music that I listened to," she explained.
