AceShowbiz - Jesy Nelson, the 33-year-old former member of Little Mix, is expecting twins with her fellow musician partner, Zion Foster. Their pregnancy journey, however, has been anything but smooth. Jesy recently shared an update from her hospital bed, detailing the hurdles and triumphs they have experienced so far.

In a detailed Instagram post from early March, Jesy disclosed that her twins were diagnosed with monochorionic diamniotic (MCDA), meaning they share one placenta but have separate amniotic sacs. The risks involved with MCDA pregnancies include imbalances in nutrient and blood supply, which can lead to severe complications.

"One baby might take all the nutrients from the placenta, or the other might, which - really awful to say - could lead to both babies dying," Jesy explained in an emotional video. These fears led to a critical operation to address the TTTS, which Jesy and Zion announced was successful on Mother's Day.

Jesy expressed her gratitude for the supportive messages from fans, saying, "We just wanted to also thank you so much for all your support and beautiful messages. You guys have been so lovely. We've seen all of your lovely messages and stories, and it's just really helped us keep going."

The pop star has been under meticulous medical supervision and remains hospitalized to reduce the risk of preterm labor.

Despite these challenges, Jesy remains optimistic. "We just wanted to come on here because we are another week further along and we feel so grateful and blessed that these little babies are still going strong," she shared in a recent video update.

Zion Foster has been a constant source of support for Jesy during this difficult time, even planning to run the London Marathon to raise funds for the Twins Trust, an organization devoted to supporting those affected by TTTS.
