AceShowbiz - Howie Mandel has shared a positive update after giving his fans a scare following his recent health issue. Making use of Twitter, the Canadian comedian addressed his hospitalization after he collapsed at Starbucks.
On Wednesday, October 13, the "America's Got Talent" judge tweeted that he's doing better and has already been discharged from the hospital. "I am home and doing better," he assured his fans and informed his followers.
On what caused the medical incident, the 65-year-old claimed that it was nothing serious as revealing, "I was dehydrated and had low blood sugar." He went on expressing his gratitude as writing, "I appreciate the great doctors and nurses that took such good care of me. Thank you to everyone who reached out but I am doing ok!"
Howie was rushed to the hospital earlier on Wednesday morning after passing out at a Starbucks coffee house in Woodland Hills, California. He was hanging out with his wife and some friends when he collapsed, TMZ reported.
Paramedics were called to the scene and the TV personality was taken to a hospital in Tarzana via an ambulance. In photos obtained by the news outlet, he was able to sit up by the time first responders arrived to asses him.
Just hours before the incident, Howie looked upbeat in a video he posted on Instagram. He was goofing off with a briefcase model from "Deal or No Deal", the popular game show he hosted. "Low key at the park," he quipped.
The latest hospitalization was his second trip to see doctors in a month. A week before his sudden collapse, he underwent a regular endoscopic examination and told his online devotees, "I'm prepping for my colonoscopy today. I'm nervous cause I don't like getting my picture taken."
A few days later, he went on a relaxing holiday in Channel Islands and Santa Fe. He recently also celebrated his son's birthday.
