AceShowbiz - Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker appear to be taking one step at a time amid their hot romance. While they seem to be serious about their relationship, the pair reportedly decided to get engaged first before sealing their union with a marriage.
According to The Sun, the Blink-182 drummer proposed to his girlfriend during their trip to Las Vegas over the weekend. "I think Travis has been planning the proposal for ages," a source told the news outlet.
"They want to start their own family together - that is the bigger thing for them because they both have kids, but they want to bring the two families together," the source dished on the couple's alleged goal, adding their "intimate" wedding will take place later this year.
"Kourt's never been married, and for years, told [her ex] Scott [Disick] she wasn't interested because of her parents' divorce," the source went on spilling. Of why she has changed her mind on marriage, the source explained, "She actually turned down Scott a few times - but things with Travis are different. They've talked a lot about marriage and the future."
"She doesn't want a 'show wedding' like her sisters, just a beautiful, intimate celebration where it's about making a new family," the source detailed Khloe's alleged wedding plans.
The so-called friend went on claiming that the former "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star wants to have a child with Travis. "For her, she wants to get to the baby part and feels like she's finally got her happy fairytale ending and just wants it all to start immediately," the pal said. "Travis is just as excited, and very much on the same page."
"Right now they live in separate houses and there are quite a few complications to manage in terms of where the kids live," the source divulged the pair's current living arrangement. "But they are determined they can make this work, and that getting married and having a new baby is the right thing for the future."
Kourtney and Travis previously sparked wedding rumors after her hairstylist Glen Coco posted several pictures of the couple's Las Vegas getaway. In the caption, Glen wrote, "…NOWWW I understand why ppl tie the knot in Vegas. There's nothing like love AND a good time."
However, the news was quickly debunked as a source in the Clark County marriage license bureau told The Sun that "Kourtney and Travis never filed for a marriage license here." The source stressed, "They would have had to have come into this office in person- and we would have noticed them."
