Claiming that it 'could have turned ugly,' the ex-husband of the reality TV star takes credit for preventing things from getting nastier with the Boston Celtics player.

AceShowbiz - Lamar Odom blamed Tristan Thompson for their recent heated social media exchange. The two, who both have history with Khloe Kardashian, were feuding online over the reality TV star's thirst trap and the retired professional basketballer claimed the Ontario native made a "mistake" for seemingly throwing a threat his way.

Sitting down with TMZ, the former athlete-turned-reality TV star said it "could have really turned ugly," but he decided to forgive the Boston Celtics player because the latter doesn't really know him. "He don't really know me and what do you say, 'God forgive them for what they do not know'?" he said about Tristan when asked if he felt turmoil over the situation. "That could have really turned ugly."

When the interviewer pointed out that he was the one who decided not to make his exchange with Tristan "turn ugly," he agreed and said, " 'Cause he's a black man he's in NBA, so we're fraternity brothers at the end of the day. So like I'll just leave it there."

During the interview, Lamar also refrained from commenting of Tristan's alleged infidelity that led to his latest breakup from Khloe. "I've been down the road before. I wasn't one to judge. I still don't want to judge on how he tends to treat a woman," he said of the former couple's issue, adding, "I wish it didn't have to be that woman."

Lamar and Tristan were previously feuding over Khloe's sexy snap. Trying to get his ex-wife's attention, the 41-year-old commented, "Hottie," under the picture featuring the mother of one flaunting her bikini body while showering outdoor.

After noticing Lamar's comment, Tristan replied, "God brought you back the first time. Play if you want, different results." He was referring to the former's nearly fatal overdose in 2015. The father of True Thompson also gushed over Khloe's photo by leaving two heart and drooling face emojis.

Lamar later deleted his comment from Khloe's post. He, however, seemed to be taking a dig at Tristan as he was reported to be reposting a tweet that mocked his foe. "NBA Twitter watching Tristan Thompson pretend to act tough on Lamar Odom," so read the alleged tweet.
