The Bond girl has officially decided not to travel to France for this year's Cannes International Film Festival although she's asymptomatic after initially testing positive for Covid-19.

AceShowbiz - Actress Lea Seydoux has officially cancelled her trip to the Cannes Film Festival after testing positive for Covid-19.
The Bond girl was expected to arrive on the French Riviera last Friday (9Jul21) for the launch of director Wes Anderson's quirky new movie and was forced to miss the premiere of their film "The French Dispatch" at the film festival on Monday.
While she was asymptomatic following the initial diagnosis and tested negative the day after, on Sunday, Seydoux is staying in Paris to serve her mandatory 10 days in self-isolation and to do her "part to keep everyone safe and healthy." She said in a statement obtained by Deadline, "Sadly, I have to self-quarantine in Paris and won't be able to attend the Cannes Film Festival this year. I wish I could celebrate the return of cinema to my favorite festival, but it is in everyone's best interest to err on the side of caution and do my part to keep everyone safe and healthy. I applaud all four of my directors and the cast ensembles for their remarkable achievements. From a distance and in thoughts, I am with you with all my heart."
The French star has four features showing in Cannes: Wes Anderson's "The French Dispatch", Arnaud Desplechin's "Deception", Bruno Dumont's "France", and Ildiko Enyedi's "The Story of My Wife".
Stars who have shown up at the international film festival so far included Honorary Palme D'or recipient Jodie Foster, head of jury Spike Lee, "Annette" stars Adam Driver and Marion Cotillard, and fellow Hollywood stars Dame Helen Mirren and Matt Damon.
