Vin Diesel Hints at 'Fast and Furious' Spin-Off Chronicling Charlize Theron's Character

AceShowbiz - Charlize Theron might lead a new spin-off movie of "Fast & Furious". In a new intervie, Vin Diesel has teased a new movie from the popular franchise which may center on Charlize's character Cipher.

Speaking with Variety, the Dominic Toretto depicter shared that a script for the planned project was already finished. Further details about the spin-off, unfortunately, have yet to be released. Charlize first played Cipher in 2017's "The Fate of the Furious". She then reprised the role in "F9".

Back in 2019, Vin announced on his Instagram account that that three female-led "Fast & Furious" spin-off started to take shape with one of them heading to Universal. He also revealed that Nicole Perlman, Lindsey Beer and Geneva Robertson-Dworet were all attached.

"As you know, there are three new spin offs that We have promised Universal... well this week we heard a pitch for the Fast female protagonist driven spinoff I created in 2017, and you can tell by the smile on Samantha's face it was VERY exciting," so he wrote in the caption at the time. "Shout out to Nicole Perlman, Lindsey Beer, Geneva Robertson-Dworet. Welcome to the Fast FAMILY..."

It remains to be seen where these spin-offs are currently going, but it seems like like they are pushed back just like how "F9" was delayed five times since 2019.

In other news, Charlize officially confirmed that the script for the sequel to "The Old Guard" had been completed.It was said that the production is set o start in the first quarter of 2022.

Charlize also added that the show's gay couple, played by Marwan Kenzari and Luca Marinelli will return to the sequel of the Netflix movie. "They're definitely there" the "Mad Max: Fury Road" star revealed.
