Police officers claim the ex-wife of the 'Good Morning America' host is charged with criminal contempt for showing up at Marianne Ayer's home after the ex-girlfriend got a protection order.

AceShowbiz - Michael Strahan's ex-wife Jean Muggli Strahan has gotten in trouble with the law. The "Good Morning America" host's ex was reportedly arrested for breaking her former partner Marianne Ayer's order of protection.

The 56-year-old was taken into custody on Friday, June 25 in New York City, per reported by TMZ. The mother-of-two allegedly appeared at the Upper West Side home of Marianne around 7 P.M. on Friday despite the fact that her ex-girlfriend had an order of protection that required her to stay away.

According to the NYPD, Jean was charged with criminal contempt for allegedly breaking the order of protection. Marianne herself had filed court documents in early June, accusing the second wife of Michael of grand larceny, disorderly conduct, harassment and forcible touching. The 57-year-old also alleged that the ex-partner of the football star threatened her with a plastic gun and kicked her German Shepherd.

Jean was married to Michael in 1999. After seven years of marriage, the two decided to go separate ways. The former couple shares twin daughters, 16-year-old Sophia and Isabella. She was awarded $15.3 million and $18,000 a month in child support after her divorce from the former New York Giant.

Back in March 2020, Michael accused Jean of physically and emotionally abusing their teens. According to court documents, the former NFL star claimed that he had proof of the abuse and requested that his ex-wife be stripped of primary custody of his daughters and that he be granted primary custody.

In the legal documents, Michael went on to claim that Jean didn't take Sophia and Isabella to court-ordered therapy sessions. The 49-year-old father also alleged his ex was the reason his girls were missing sporting events.

However, Michael's claims were dismissed in October 2020 with the exes settling on a shared custody arrangement, court papers filed in New Hanover County District court unveiled. The former couple agreed to split custody so that they could share their daughters, with each parent having them for a week at a time.
