AceShowbiz - The 2021 BET Awards is here! Taking place at Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater on Sunday, June 27, the award-giving event featured celebrities bringing their best look at the red carpet before the show, which will celebrate black excellence, started. Among those who served looks that night was Lil Nas X and host Taraji P. Henson.
The "Old Town Road" hitmaker turned heads as he channeled his inner Cinderella. He arrived in awhite gown which was printed with an elaborate blue scenery that appears to combine renaissance with modern-day imagery. The "Montero" rapper's gown featured a plunging neckline, which allowed him to reveal his abs, and a corset-like bodice.
As for Taraji, the actress looked stunning in a Versace gown which was patterned with pink and the designer’s signature gold print. Meanwhile, Megan Thee Stallion showed off some major skin in a white dress from Jean Paul Gaultier. The dress only covered the front and the back part of her body with a curtain-like fabric, while the side of her body was left uncovered.
Also looking sexy while hitting the red carpet was Zendaya Coleman. The "Spider-Man: Homecoming" star paid homage to Beyonce Knowles in a Versace SS2003 Archive look. Saweetie, meanwhile, flaunted her curves in a blue gown with a massive train.
Tyler, The Creator brought his quirky style on the red carpet. The rapper opted for a casual look in shors, white tee, red-and-white patterened sleeveless sweater and a hat. He completed his looks with two suitcases.
Coi Leray and City Girls also arrived in their best styles that night. Coi opted for a sporty look in a skimpy crop top and a pair of navy pants. Meanwhile, the rapper duo was dazzling in a silver gown and a green emerald ensemble for the night. Ciara looked equally gleaming in bejeweled jumpsuit and knee-high boots. She also rocked bright blonde bob that further made her look stunning.
The 2021 BET Awards is currently underway with Cardi B, DaBaby, H.E.R. among the performers.
