Though many of her family members consider homosexuality 'very taboo,' the daughter of late Michael Jackson says that her brothers are 'incredibly supportive' of her sexuality.

AceShowbiz - Paris Jackson has spoken out about how she opened up to her family about her sexual identity. After coming out as a person who "dated more than just men and women," the daughter of late Michael Jackson said that her "religious family" doesn't accept her bisexuality.

When making an appearance on the Facebook Watch show "Red Table Talk" with Willow Smith, the 23-year-old was asked how her family reacted to her coming out. "I'm still kind of figuring it out. My family is very religious and a lot of homosexuality is very taboo, so they don't like to talk about it, it's not really accepted," the "Let Down" songstress admitted.

"Some of my family I talk to about it openly, some of my family I don't. I've reached a point right now where I have love and respect for my family, their beliefs, their culture, their religion," Paris elaborated further. The musician, who released her debut solo album "Wilted" in November 2020, went on to add, "I'm to expect them to set that aside just so I can feel accepted, expectations lead to resentments for me."

Paris continued, "So I try and take the approach that what other people think of me is none of my business and as long as I'm living a life of love and being of service and honesty and I'm not hurting other people, I think I'll be alright." Elsewhere in the candid conversation, she confessed that her brothers were incredibly supportive of her, noting that Prince Jackson joined an LGBT society at his school.

In the interview, Paris also addressed her post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She opened up that past paparazzi exposures made her suffer from "auditory hallucinations." The singer explained, "I experience auditory hallucinations sometimes with camera clicks and severe paranoia and have been going to therapy for a lot of things, but that included." The "Low Key in Love" singer also noted, "I'll hear a trash bag rustling and flinch in panic." However, she went on to claim, "I think it's standard PTSD."

At another point, Paris shared that her past struggles led to a series of suicide attempts in 2013. At the time, the singer and actress overdosed on painkillers and cut her wrists in desperate cries for help, and now admits she's grateful to still be alive.
