AceShowbiz - "The Bachelorette" returned with season 17 on Monday, June 7. In the first episode of the brand new season, "twenty-nine charming men and one mystery box hoped to get lucky in love with new bachelorette Katie Thurston," though "Katie selects 23 lucky bachelors to continue to get to know." Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe serve as the co-hosts as Chris Harrison decided to step away from the franchise.
The first man to arrive was Thomas before Aaron arrived next. Andrew M. was totally impressed by Katie as he couldn't stop saying wow while looking at her. Michael, meanwhile, brought Katie a watch as a gift. Later, a pickup truck pulled up and Tre came out.
Arriving with the second Limo was Greg, who showered the leading lady with compliments. When he arrived, Gabriel gave Katie a hug which seemingly made Katie feel awkward. John, meanwhile, told Katie that he felt like he was dreaming and that she looked wonderful and gorgeous. Also seemingly super into Katie was Garrett.
Austin then showed up. He said to Katie that he's in pursuit of happiness, while Marty made it clear that he's serious when it came to trying to earn her heart by joining the show. Landon told Katie that he was determined to make Katie smile. Karl was also excited to get to know her with Josh promising to Katie that he's 100% there for her.
Coming out of an old 1920's limo was Andrew S. who called Katie "my love." Meanwhile, Brandon successfully made his entrance memorable as he showed up on a moped, bringing his baseball glove before pulling out his jockstrap. Later, two men delivered a huge present for Katie, making her nervous.
Brendan, Marcus and Mike then arrived. Some other guys brought questionable items with Cody showing up with Sandy, a blow-up doll, and Justin bringing a paintbrush. Christian showed Katie a genie lamp, saying that that they could rub it together. Quartney told Katie that she was absolutely beautiful and worth the quarantine, while Connor turned heads as he appeared in a cat custom because Katie is a huge cat lover. James gave Katie a big present.
In the cocktail room, Katie told the men that she appreciated them for being there. She first sat down with Andrew S. before talking to Thomas. Greg then gave Katie a necklace that his niece made from macaroni. However, it was Justin who stole Katie's first kiss that night.
It was then time for Katie to reveal who would get the first impression Rose. She chose Greg for it, noting that she felt that he's a great guy. He kissed her and she kissed him back.
The other guys who received roses from Katie were Tre, Michael A., Thomas, Garrett, Connor B., Andrew S., James, Justin, Quartney and Karl. Also staying on the show were Mike P., John, Kyle, Andrew, Josh, Connor C., Brendan, David, Aaron, Christian, Hunter and Cody.
