AceShowbiz - Metro Marrs is seemingly having no remorse for causing a chaos at his graduation ceremony. After being arrested for throwing $10,000 on his high school graduation, the "Bye Felicia" rapper has vowed to repeat the same stunt at his brother's graduation ceremony.
On Saturday, May 29, the 18-year-old rapper told TMZ that he planned to repeat the make-it-rain stunt next year at his brother's high school graduation. He even stated that he will double the amount of the money. "Next graduation, I'ma throw 20," he spilled to the outlet.
"I'ma just pull up. I'ma walk up, I'ma interrupt the graduation cause my brother's. He in the 11th grade and I got potnas in the 11th grade, too," the Quality Control artist explained. He then promised, "So I'ma pipe up their graduation too, no cap."
In a video that recently circulated on the internet, Marrs could be seen pulling out wads of cash from his pants on the stage and throwing the bills in front of his fellow graduates on Friday, May 21. While his pals were thrilled, Langston Hughes High School officials were reportedly not happy with it.
Shortly after, Marrs was grabbed and escorted by on-sight police officers. The rapper, whose real name is Marques Smith, was then held in jail for several hours and was charged for inciting a riot and disorderly conduct, per TMZ report. Luckily, he was released despite getting ticketed for the offense.
Before Marrs got freed from prison, his management team posted a clip of him during his arrest on his Instagram account. The post came along with a caption that read, "#freeme y'all tag @theshaderoom in the comments #classof2021 I love yallll!! (This his management team) #freemetro he will get out in a couple of hours."
"I was creating a moment that would be memorable," Marrs pointed out. He went on to insist that he should've marked the special occasion by exclaiming, "I had to do that for the last time. Everybody was lit! We graduating high school!"
While the school might be a bit upset with his stunt, Marrs claimed it has been quite supportive of his success. "They root for me, they're on my side," he stated. "They've seen me develop (as an artist) while I was in school. I've been doing music since 9th grade."
