When appearing on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', the 'Old Town Road' hitmaker claims that 'Montero' is 'something everyone can vibe along to' and is '100 per cent' him.

AceShowbiz - Lil Nas X will "explore his sexuality" on his debut album and, he hopes, it will give his fans a greater sense of who he is.

The "Old Town Road" hitmaker, whose controversial song "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)" gave him his second Billboard number one in April, has teased his album, "Montero", sees him further explore his "sexuality" and get honest about the many "heartbreaks" in his life.

Appearing on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Tuesday, May 25, he said, "It's honest, it's 100 per cent me. Last time [his 2019 EP '7'], I played so many characters."

"I'm exploring my sexuality, my self. It's a coming-of-age story. My heartbreaks - there's been a lot of those. It's everything, man. It's something everyone can vibe along to."

The 22-year-old Grammy-winner recently revealed the LP, which is set for release this summer, will offer a "greater sense of who I am and what I stand for."

Lil Nas X, real name Montero Lamar Hill - who came out as gay in 2019 - also shared how his songwriting has vastly improved since he started writing about his real life.

"With this album, my writing from the past has improved by 100 per cent," he explained. "I'm writing about my actual life and things that I'm actually going through. This album will give people a greater sense of who I am and what I stand for."

Elsewhere in the interview, Nas X addressed the wardrobe malfunction he suffered when performing his controversial single, "Montero". Laughing off the incident, he told host Jimmy Fallon, "So, I was pretty much going down the pole, you know, doing my little sexy drop down and boom, I feel air. I was like, okay, there's definitely a breeze going on."
