'The Kelly Clarkson Show', which is currently running its second season, is set to become NBC's 'headliner' daytime program across the country as Ellen is set to end 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' next year.

AceShowbiz - Kelly Clarkson will fill the void in Ellen DeGeneres' daytime talk show slot. Weeks after the comedienne announced that she will conclude "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" with season 19, it was reported that "The Kelly Clarkson Show" will take over the former show in the fall of 2022.

Announcing the replacement was President of NBCUniversal Local Valari Staab on Wednesday, May 26. "These are remarkable achievements for a talk show in its second season. We look forward to Ellen DeGeneres' 19th season paired with Kelly Clarkson for what is sure to be a blockbuster year. By 2022, 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' will be the star of our daytime entertainment schedules and an asset to our early afternoon newscasts," so read the statement.

" 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' is one of the most optimistic success stories in first-run syndication," Tracie Wilson, executive VP of NBCUniversal Syndication Studios added. "It is a treasured part of NBCUniversal Syndication Studios offering and we are proud to partner with the NBC Owned Television Stations group to continue the show's success."

"Kelly and our entire production team put their heart, intent and incredible passion into making a show that resonates with people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds," Tracie went on noting. "We're working on some big plans for season three and are looking forward to becoming the premier show in daytime for years to come."

Kelly's self-titled talk show, which is currently in its second season, premiered in September 2019. In June 2020, it earned her a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host. NBC announced in December that it has been renewed for two additional seasons, through 2023.

The report came after Ellen confirmed her show ending in the May 12 episode of her show. "I am announcing that next season, season 19, is going to be my last season," she declared. "So, the past 18 years, you have to know have changed my life... Two years ago, I signed a deal for three more years, and I always knew in my heart that season 19 would be my last."
