The celebrity cookbook author reveals to her followers that she purchased five bridal gowns because she felt guilty for trying on various wedding dresses before her nuptials.

AceShowbiz - Chrissy Teigen bought five extra wedding dresses prior to her 2013 nuptials to John Legend because she felt guilty trying on gowns in-store without making a purchase.
The model-turned-cookbook author and TV personality shared the news on social media on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 after one follower recalled witnessing Teigen once buy a designer handbag just so she could use the shop's toilet.
"One time I saw you at barneys and you bought a Celine bag so you wouldn't feel guilty about asking to use the bathroom. I knew I loved you before but that solidified it," the fan wrote. "Wowowowow (sic) anyone that knows me knows this is very true all too often," the beauty responded.
A friend then sent a direct message to Teigen detailing her pricey splurge as a bride-to-be - which the mother-of-two posted on her Instagram Stories timeline for her fans to see.
The message read, "Sort of like that time you bought like 5 wedding dresses you knew you would never actually wear because you felt guilty about 'just trying on dresses' which is precisely the point of TRYING ON wedding dresses I love you (sic)."
In the accompanying caption, Teigen insisted the dresses were donated, so they didn't go to waste.
"THOSE WENT TO GREAT HOMES," she declared.
Teigen ended up choosing three Vera Wang designs for the couple's wedding in Italy, wearing different styles for the ceremony, dinner, and reception party.
At the time, she told E! News she simply couldn't decide on just one dress for her big day. "Every time I went in (to Vera Wang) for a fitting, I couldn't stop getting one," she confessed. "It's just too pretty."
