When releasing the promo, the 'American Idol' judge expresses her hope that this song she wrote a couple months ago 'will be the soundtrack to going for your dreams now.'

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry is setting herself free in a brand new music video for "Daisies". Shortly after midnight on Friday, May 15, the "Part of Me" hitmaker released the visual for the lead single off her upcoming fifth studio album, and it saw her leaving little to the imagination as she stripped naked and bared her baby bump.

The under-three-minute promo was shot outdoor and reportedly "from a safe social distance" by director Liza Voloshin because of the coronavirus pandemic. In it, Perry could be seen wearing a white, see-through dress as she performed the empowering song surrounded by nature.

"They said I'm going nowhere tried to count me out," the 35-year-old sang in the chorus. "Took those sticks and stones, showed 'em I could build a house/They tell me that I'm crazy, but I'll never let them change me/'Til they cover me in daisies, daisies, daisies."

In an Instagram post she let out along with the video, Perry explained, "I wrote this song a couple months ago as a call to remain true to the course you've set for yourself, regardless of what others may think. Recently, it has taken a new meaning for me, in light of what the whole world is experiencing."

"Each of us is one in more than seven billion, with our own story of strength and resilience to tell," the fiancee of Orlando Bloom, who is pregnant with their first child, continued. " 'DAISIES' is out now. I hope it will be the soundtrack to going for your dreams now... especially the ones we left behind."

Perry is set to perform "Daisies" live for the first time on an Amazon Music stream at 10 A.M. PST on Friday. She is expected to perform it again during the season finale of "American Idol" on Sunday night, May 17.

In regards to her fifth studio album, it is scheduled to be dropped on August 14 via Capitol Records.
