Having his wish become reality on 'Saturday Night Live', the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases praises the 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' actor's 'classy' act.

AceShowbiz - Brad Pitt might have done a great job impersonating Anthony Fauci, but he apparently was still lacking in one minor detail. After the "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" actor portrayed him during a guest stint on "Saturday Night Live", the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases advised the Hollywood star to work a little on his Brooklyn accent.

Fauci was asked to comment Pitt's impersonation of him during an interview with the Economic Club on Tuesday, April 28. "He got the raspiness of my voice right. He got the hand movements right," he praised the actor, before offering his thought on what could be improved, "I think he's got to work a little on the Brooklyn accent."

Though so, Fauci has nothing but good things to say about Pitt's attempt. "I think he did great," he said in another interview on Telemundo's "Un Nuevo Dia" on Monday, April 27. "I'm a great fan of Brad Pitt and that's the reason why when people ask me who I would like to play me I mention Brad Pitt. He's one of my favorite actors. I think he did a great job."

"I think he showed that he is really a classy guy when at the end he took off his hair and thanked me and all of the health care workers," he pointed out as he referred to Pitt's final act when he remove his disguise and showed his gratitude toward coronavirus frontliners. "So, not only is he a really great actor but he is actually a classy person."

Earlier this month, Fauci was asked which actor he hoped to portray him when "Saturday Night Live" returned with remote episode. As a response, he immediately said he wanted it to be Pitt. Then, on Saturday, April 25, the ex-husband of Angelina Jolie surprised many by showing up on the show's "At Home" special.

Wearing gray wig and maintaining his composure as the infectious disease's leading expert, Pitt kicked off by stating, "Now, there's been a lot of misinformation out there about the virus." He additionally noted, "Yes, the president has taken some liberties with our guidelines. So tonight, I would like to explain what the president was trying to say."

After a clip of Donald Trump suggesting that the novel virus will disappear "like a miracle" was played, Pitt's Fauci pointed out, "A miracle would be great. Who doesn't love miracles? But miracles shouldn't be Plan A. Even Sully tried to land at the airport first."

Near the end of the gig, the "Troy" star took off his wig and told "the real Dr. Fauci, thank you for your calm and your clarity in this unnerving time." He additionally stated, "And thank you to the medical workers, first responders and their families, for being on the front line."
