Assuring that they have since made a full recovery, the former star of 'The Sopranos' claims that his family had most of the symptoms but did not get officially tested for the novel coronavirus.

AceShowbiz - Former "The Sopranos" star Michael Imperioli is convinced he and his family were struck down by the coronavirus earlier this year.

The actor recalls feeling "extremely ill" after returning home to California on 1 March following a visit to New York, which has become the epicenter of the U.S. outbreak.

The 54-year-old's loved ones also appeared to catch whatever he was suffering from, and although they were never officially tested for COVID-19, Imperioli believes the flu-like symptoms they experienced were in line with those caused by the coronavirus.

"I was really sick...," he told the New York Post's Page Six. "My wife and one of my kids got it."

"We had most of the symptoms. We didn't get tested because we weren't sick enough to go to the hospital."

Imperioli and his family have since made a full recovery, and he isn't the only famous face to believe he's a coronavirus survivor - singers Robbie Williams and Sam Smith are both sure they fought and won their battles with COVID-19, just like Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, who both tested positive for the virus while in Australia in March.
