AceShowbiz - It's not a secret anymore that Kanye West has overwhelming love for Donald Trump and is more than willing to re-vote the controversial POTUS in the upcoming election. Obviously, his support for Trump is not welcomed by many people, especially the black community given that Trump is a known racist. However, Kanye doesn't waver at all and has some messages for his haters.
Gracing the cover of the latest issue of GQ Magazine, the rapper discussed how people said that his career is over because he supports Trump. Asked whether or not he'd be less vocal in this upcoming election, Kanye firmly replied, "No, I'm definitely voting this time. And we know who I'm voting on."
"And I'm not going to be told by the people around me and the people that have their agenda that my career is going to be over. Because guess what: I'm still here!" he added, lamenting the fact that he couldn't share his own opinion in public. "I was told my career would end if I wasn't with [Hillary Clinton]. What kind of campaign is that, anyway? That's like if Obama's campaign was 'I'm with black.' What's the point of being a celebrity if you can't have an opinion? Everybody make their own opinion! You know?"
Kanye's affinity for Trump has been the subject of much scrutiny over the last few years. Despite the backlash, the rapper stood by his opinion and continued to show support for the former entrepreneur.
In the GQ interview, Kanye cited real estate as a key reason for his support. "I buy real estate," he told the magazine. "It's better now than when Obama was in office. They don't teach you in school about buying property. They teach you how to become somebody's property."
