The daytime talk show host is blasted on Twitter over her alleged 'diva' behavior behind the scenes after comedian Kevin T Porter promises to donate $2 for every 'insane story' about 'one of the meanest people alive.'

AceShowbiz - Ellen DeGeneres has been attacked on Twitter for charity. The comedienne has been branded the meanest and was called out for her alleged diva behavior behind the scenes by her fans and former employees on Twitter.

The outpouring stories were spurred by comedian Kevin T. Porter's tweet in which he promised that he would donate $2 for every story about the 62-year-old TV personality. "Right now we all need a little kindness. You know, like Ellen Degeneres always talks about!" he posted on Friday, March 20. "She's also notoriously one of the meanest people alive. Respond to this with the most insane stories you've heard about Ellen being mean & I'll match every one w/ $2 to @LAFoodbank."

His tweet generated a lot of responses from self-proclaimed fans and former employees of Ellen, with one claiming that the wife of Portia de Rossi has a "sensitive nose" and demands her staff take a chewing gum from a bowl outside her office before speaking to her.

Another shared, "A new staff member was told 'every day she picks someone different to really hate. It's not your fault, just suck it up for the day and she'll be mean to someone else the next day.' They didn't believe it but it ended up being entirely true."

Someone else said, "Ellen had a PA fired for leading her to set the 'long' way." Another wrote, "After working for Ellen for over 5 years, close friend left to have baby, & found different job on a union network show (benefits etc), Ellen BEGGED her to return then fired her after 1 week, no reason given, and friend struggled for long time w new baby and no benefits etc."

As of Sunday, Kevin has donated $600 to LA food bank, though he noted it's hard to tell which stories are real or not.

Ellen has not spoken up about the claims, but she appeared to respond with a video posted on her Instagram page on Saturday. In the clip, she wore a T-shirt with "staff" written on it while building lego during her self-isolation.

In another post shared on Monday, Ellen said that she missed her staff while filming on her show has been shut down due to the coronavirus crisis. "This was my show staff's planned spring break week. I've asked them all to continue to stay home with their loved ones, and disconnect for a week. And I wish I hadn't. I miss them," so she wrote. "But I'll be posting lots more next week when they're back. Until then, enjoy today's Safer-at-Home Spring Break 2020. Day 1."
