Although the 'Avengers: Infinity War' actor has been tested positive for COVID-19, no one who worked on the new film has been tested despite their direct contact.

AceShowbiz - Crew members working on Idris Elba's new movie "The Harder They Fall" are self-isolating, as they are reportedly dissatisfied with how producers handled news the star has the coronavirus.

The "Avengers: Infinity War" star took to social media on Monday, March 16, to announce that he had tested positive for Covid-19 and had entered self-quarantine.

However, according to those working with the star, they were not informed that Idris has tested positive until the actor revealed it himself - despite fears he contracted the illness after contact with a carrier as early as 4 March.

Sources close to production told TMZ filming was halted last Friday, and the crew was told it was due to growing fears over the pandemic, with no mention that Idris was getting tested.

According to sources, Idris had some direct contact with members of the stunt team during rehearsals, part of which took place in a small cabin. They added that same day several crew members travelled home, possibly exposing even more people, while other crew members chose to stay and self-quarantine.

Idris is also still self-quarantining at a house on location, with wife Sabrina, who also tested positive, while the crew remains at a hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

While the housing situation is not an issue, the insider admitted it's more the lack of communication about potential risks following the news about Idris' positive test that bothered workers.

However, as of Friday, no one who worked on the film has been tested, and many people feel more should be done to protect them or give them some peace of mind.

The outbreak of coronavirus has seen more than 315,000 cases of the virus registered, resulting in a death toll of over 13,500, since it began in December (19).
