AceShowbiz - JoJo Siwa is setting the record straight on the growing speculations that she might be dating Elliot Brown. A little over a week after sparking rumors about her relationship status by posting pictures of her with the guy from her home state of Nebraska, the YouTube star clarified that he is actually a "family friend."

Siwa was giving a house tour to Jason Kennedy on the Monday, March 9 episode of E!'s "In the Room", when the TV host spotted a framed photo of her and Elliot. It led Kennedy to bring up recent rumors regarding Siwa and Brown as he asked, "Do you care to say anything about that? Is this a guy friend, someone you're cool with, you like him, you're dating?"

In response, the "Boomerang" singer explained, "Elliot is his name, he has been a family friend of mine for, oh gosh. I've known him since he was eight! Since I was eight." She revealed that she "actually talked with him" about how she was going to address the swirling speculations about the two of them, noting that she knew "it's gonna come up some time."

Though insisting they are just friends, the former "Dance Moms" star couldn't help but gush over Brown. "He came out here and we had a really great time. And, he is an awesome kid," she spilled. She went on to say she was "really excited to see him this weekend," adding that he will be "coming back out here."

The 16-year-old YouTube personality further stressed that Brown's "family are the nicest people ever and we've been friends for forever." She also told Kennedy that their family often joked that she and Brown "would be cute together." When Kennedy agreed the two of them look "cute together", she replied that she "agree[s] with that."

Siwa sparked dating rumors with Brown in late February after she uploaded photos of them spending time together. In early March, she posted a TikTok video capturing her rocking a green ribbon and a floral top while she dancing alongside him on a street. "we were waiting to cross the street and we missed the walk signal 3 times for this tik tok...... definitely worth it," she wrote in an accompanying caption of the post.
