During an appearance on 'The Late Late Show with James Corden', the 'Spenser Confidential' actor reveals that it took him five painful years to get his tattoos removed.

AceShowbiz - Mark Wahlberg put his life experience to good use by warning rapper Post Malone against getting more face tattoos.

The actor, 48, stars alongside the "Circles" hitmaker in new movie "Spenser Confidential", and the two have built up a solid friendship during their time working together.

During an appearance on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" on Monday, March 02, Mark revealed that he had talked with the 24-year-old about his extensive selection of inkings, but lamented that the star didn't seem particularly moved by his words.

"Yes, I have (spoken to him), and you know what, he's now since added more to his face," he quipped.

Wahlberg explained he tried to get his own tattoos removed before his role in 2010's "The Fighter", but admitted that it took much longer than he had anticipated.

"It took me five years to get the tattoos removed and it's dreadfully painful," he said. "It's like hot bacon grease getting flicked on you over and over and over again," the actor recalled. "I told Posty, it's gonna be a lot of Bud Lights trying to get those things off you."

When James Corden asked what the hitmaker's response was, Mark added: "He says what every kid says, what I said when I got my tattoos. 'Oh no, no, no, they all have meaning. I'm going to keep them forever'."

"But then you realize, I'm pushing 40, I've gotta do something about this," he said.

In a recent interview with GQ magazine, the "Congratulations" star confessed his face tattoos are all part of his effort to make himself feel better about his looks.

"I'm a ugly-a** motherf**ker... So I'm going to put something cool on there so I can look at myself and say, 'You look cool, kid,' and have a modicum of self-confidence, when it comes to my appearance," he told the publication.
