The Will Turner of the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film series has debuted a new Morse code tattoo in honor of his son Flynn, but many people notice that Flynn's name is misspelled.

AceShowbiz - Orlando Bloom is likely to go back under the needle for his son's tribute. The Will Turner of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" film franchise has recently gotten a minimalist tattoo etched across his arm as a reference to 9-year-old Flynn, but many were quick to point out an error in the design.

On Tuesday, February 11, the 43-year-old actor posted two photos that showed off the new ink across his right arm. He captioned the post, "new #tattoo can you guess who?" He later affirmed in a comment to a fan that the series of lines and dots is morse code of Flynn's name and the numbers "010620110903" referred to the boy's date of birth and time.

Many, however, noticed the misspelling on Flynn's name. One pointed out, "It's a lovely idea and a beautiful tattoo. But if it is indeed morse code, I think it says 'Frynn', not 'Flynn.' " Another wrote, "No matter how long I look at it I see Frynn. But a lovely tattoo, in any case - never thought of Morse code tattoos, great idea." A third got into the specifics, "There's a mistake!! A dot missing xdd. It's saying Frynn right now!! It should be: ..-..-..-.---.-."

One person explained what's wrong with the code.

Reacting to the online responses was Bloom's tattoo designer Balazs Bercsenyi. He uploaded a close-up photo of the "Carnival Row" actor's body art in a monochrome style with a caption that read, "a beautiful reminder for @orlandobloom of his son." The Hungary native tattooist further acknowledged the mistake by writing, "and yes, a dot is missing, we know, it will be fixed."

Flynn is the only son Bloom shared with ex-wife Miranda Kerr. The former couple got married in 2010, but decided to part ways in 2013. "The Lord of the Rings" actor has since moved on with Katy Perry, whom he got engaged to in early 2019.

In November 2019, Bloom opened up about his desire to start a family with the "Dark Horse" hitmaker. "I really want to enjoy family and friends, my beautiful son, and have more kids," he told Man About Town magazine. "I want to make sure when I embark on that, it's with my heart full and very clear about the reality of what that means, as opposed to some romantic idea of that it means to be in a relationship."
