The Russian model shares her positive outlook following the end of her 4-year relationship with the 'A Star Is Born' actor, saying that life without him 'is new ground.'

AceShowbiz - Irina Shayk is keeping a positive outlook on her split from ex-boyfriend Bradley Cooper. Months after she and the director/leading man of "A Star Is Born" called an end to their four-year relationship, the Russian model gave a rare interview addressing why the two of them decided to part ways.

Fronting the March issue of British Vogue, the 34-year-old beauty got candid about her breakup from the 45-year-old actor. "I think in all good relationships you bring your best and your worst - it's just the nature of a human being," she reflected in the interview. "Two great people don’t have to make a good couple."

While her relationship with the "American Sniper" star didn't work out, the Sports Illustrated model still saw their romance affectionately. "I think we've been very lucky to experience what we had with each other," she stated. She went on to add, "Life without B[radley] is new ground."

Aside from talking about the split, the ex-girlfriend of footballer Cristiano Ronaldo got candid about her life as a single mother to 2-year-old Lea, her daughter with Cooper. "It's hard to find a balance between being a single mom and being a working woman and provider," she confided. "Trust me, there are days I wake up and I'm like, 'Oh my god, I don't know what to do, I'm falling apart.' "

Elsewhere in the interview, Shayk admitted that her strong personality might push away men. "I definitely know what I want, and I think some men are scared of that," she shared. "If somebody's out of my life, they're out of my life and I really cut all the ties, you know? I think some people are really scared of this coldness. I also think not many people know that underneath this there's a nice, sweet person who cries in interviews."

Shayk started dating Cooper in early 2015. They became parents to Lea in March 2017. Shortly after her high-profile breakup from the Oscar-nominated actor, she insisted in a cover interview for Harpers Bazaar Digital Summer Issue that she still believes in marriage. "I'm not the kind of person who is against it," she explained at the time.
