The Carolina Panthers quarterback and his former girlfriend Kia Proctor are fighting over the paternity and custody of their four children following their separation.

AceShowbiz - Cam Newton and his baby mama Kia Proctor are fighting over the paternity and custody of their children. According to Bossip, the 30-year-old Carolina Panthers quarterback demands DNA test for the children she gave birth during their relationship.

The custody battle came to light a week after the football player was rumored to welcome a baby with another woman. He allegedly knocked up Instagram model La Reina Shaw behind Kia's back, and both women reportedly got pregnant at the same time.

Rumor has it, Newton has been separated from Proctor for at least six months and she has moved out of his house. Despite his DNA test demand, he reportedly signed the birth certificates of the children including the youngest one who was born in September 2019 and has never lived with him.

The NFL star also has been voluntarily paying child support following their separation. If the children are his, he requests the court determine the exact amount he should pay to his former girlfriend and wants a joint custody with her.

Proctor insists Newton is her kids' father. She is willing to get a DNA test as long as he pays for it. However, she wants a full custody. She claims a joint custody will be difficult since she plans to move back to her native Maryland while Newton continues to stay in Georgia.

She is also seeking health benefits and life insurances for the children, and demands Newton pay her lawyer fees. As for the child support, she's open to negotiation with Newton. If the negotiation doesn't work out, she asks judge to have Newton give her $15,000 so she can hire a financial analyst.

Proctor says she "has absolutely no source of income," and Newton has been the sole financial provider during their relationship.

Newton declines to comment on the matter as his lawyer states, "We and Mr. Newton prefer not to comment on the case and continue to hope the parties will be able to resolve matters privately."
