The 'Twin Peaks' actress opens up that she developed chronic skin condition while working on the psychological thriller web television series for the streaming site.

AceShowbiz - Naomi Watts was left feeling "miserable" after developing chronic skin condition rosacea while working her Netflix series "Gypsy".

The 51-year-old actress told Britain's The Sunday Times Style magazine that applying make-up "two to three times" a day and "spending hours under hot lights" while working on the show led to her contracting the condition, which results in redness, pimples, swelling, and small and superficial dilated blood vessels on the face.

"A few years back in 2016, while I was working 16-hour days on Gypsy, I was having to apply make-up two to three times a day and spend hours under hot lights," she said. "I was really suffering from rosacea. It was making my life miserable. My skin was just saying leave me alone."

The "King Kong" actress explained her struggles inspired her to become the latest celebrity to tap into the ever-growing "clean beauty" market, as she launched Onda - a range of natural, organic products that she launched with former Conde Nast fashion market director Larissa Thomson and former magazine editor Sarah Bryden-Brown.

According to Naomi, she decided to co-found the brand after she "eliminated chemically driven products from my beauty regime", and it has gained a cult following, with fellow actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who founded lifestyle brand Goop, "very supportive" of the venture.
