1. Barack and Michelle Obama

Everyone has to make an effort if they want to achieve something, and this also applies to Barack and Michelle Obama on Christmas Day. While most people receive their Christmas presents without much effort needed, when you spend the holiday in the couple's house, you need to perform something worthy of the gifts.

Michelle has done this ever since she was still a child, as she said in an interview, "Our extended family was so large, people couldn't really afford to buy gifts for everyone. So a couple of our aunts would go out and purchase small gifts. They would put them in a basket and in order to get a gift you had to perform. Everyone from the smallest to the tallest, from the oldest to the youngest, had to perform something. You could tell a joke, read a poem, do a backflip -- anything counted."

2. David Beckham

Christmas is all about festive food. From turkey with stuffing to mashed potatoes, those kind of meals are some things that you will usually find on the special day. However, in the case of David Beckham, the food he enjoys during Christmas isn't quite as grand as he prefers a bucket of KFC chickens over the festive food.

His meal choice isn't the only special thing he has on Christmas. On the special occasion, the former soccer star has always made sure that his children watch the Queen's speech. "We always spend Christmas in London with family. My gran used to make us watch the Queen's speech on Christmas Day, so that's the one thing I make sure I continue with my children," he said.

3. Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon's family Christmas tradition may look normal at first glance, but there is actually something that only talented actors like her can do during the holiday. Instead of Elf on the Shelf, it is her Oscar statue that is showered with love on Christmas as the "Legally Blonde" star lets her three kids dress it up.

"At Christmastime, they put a little hat on him and a little scarf, so he doesn't get cold," she previously revealed during an interview. Other than that, Reese spends the holiday just like any other people. She said, "Gingerbread houses, and we have to have Advent calendars. These are things where you think, 'Oh, they're not noticing…' but then I forgot the Advent calendars this year, and Deacon was like, 'Mom! Where are they?!' I didn't realize how important they were to him!"

4. Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher

In a family, parents usually give their children Christmas presents during the holiday, but such thing doesn't apply in Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher's household. The married couple has a very minimalist Christmas with their kids and does not even give them Christmas presents. Instead, they encourage others to donate to charitable organizations.

Mila made the surprising revelation during an interview back in 2017, "So far, our tradition is no presents for the kids. We're instituting it this year because when the kids are [younger than] one, it doesn't really matter." She added, "We've told our parents, 'We're begging you: If you have to give them something, pick one gift. Otherwise, we'd like to take a charitable donation, to the Children's Hospital or a pet... Whatever you want.' That's our new tradition."

5. Melissa Joan Hart

Unlike other people who want to look good while celebrating Christmas, Melissa Joan Hart wants to look as ridiculous as she can be and drags along her family while she's at it. Every year, she holds a tacky sweater competition that pits families against one another for top honors. She even gets her husband Mark Wilkerson's full support as he sends her "30 emails of links to different sweaters she thought were ridiculous to look at."

This is a far cry from her mother Paula Hart's fancy Christmas parties she attends through the years, but she definitely has a more fun Christmas this way. "We threw up a white Christmas tree and I got a cardboard cut out of Santa," she said of her annual sweater competition, adding that they usually enjoy cheese logs, fruitcake, pigs in blankets and eggnog.

6. Brooklyn Decker

Christmas morning is that one time when people usually open their presents, though Brooklyn Decker's holiday begins a little bit earlier than usual. While people usually do that when the sun is shining bright, the actress prefers to open her presents when it's still dark outside. The reason? She simply wants the Christmas lights on as her family opens presents.

"One of our unusual traditions is that we can't open presents in the day time. It has to be dark outside because we want the Christmas lights. We wake up at about three in the morning and go back to sleep around six," she said, adding that her husband Andy Roddick "was very grumpy waking up at three in the morning but you have a full tree waiting for you!"

7. Blake Lively

Just in case you think all celebrities spend their Christmas day with glamorous 12-course meal and activities, think again. For Blake Lively, Christmas is all about family bonding where they don't even leave their house like any other households. They clearly feel much more comfortable inside, to the point where they do not even get up from the bed for hours.

Blake said of her family's Christmas tradition in an interview, "I don't know how my family... but everybody gets in the same bed, somehow we just spend like seven hours a day all together just chatting, it's really nice to have that time because it's rare that we get the time that we are all together for such a nice chunk of time."

8. Jimmy Kimmel and John Krasinski

April's Fool is the best time for people to pull a prank on each other, but for Jimmy Kimmel and John Krasinski, that time happens on Christmas Day instead. It all began when John and Emily Blunt broke into their friend's house and set up a Santa Claus and snowman display in 2011, and their pranks just escalated after that.

Back in 2014, Jimmy tried to end the war once and for all by gift-wrapping the couple's house, including all their doors and windows. However, John and Emily didn't stand for that and had Jimmy's car gift-wrapped at work. Not only that, but the couple also filled the inside of the car with holiday ornaments. This gift-wrapped car incident ended up happening for three days straight.
