British bride Katie is 'over the moon' after meeting her idol and 'The Hunger Games' star when she and her new husband Shane celebrated their wedding at a club in Australia's Gold Coast.

AceShowbiz - Liam Hemsworth just gave one lucky fan an unforgettable moment on her special day. When hanging out with a friend in Gold Coast, Australia, the "Isn't It Romantic" actor unintentionally surprised British newlyweds Katie and Shane with his presence in a beach club where they celebrated their wedding.

Dishing on the chance encounter was wedding photographer Kirk Willcox. To E! News, he spilled, "The bride and groom were entering the Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Life Saving Club to get a drink and celebrate with their friends and family when they noticed Liam." He detailed, "Liam was near the window in good spirits talking to a male friend."

Kirk continued that after everyone clapped and cheered for the couple when they entered the room, Katie's sister mentioned to her that Liam was in the room at a nearby table. According to the photographer, the 29-year-old actor is one of the bride's idols, and the meeting left her "in shock and was over the moon."

As to how Liam dealt with the encounter, Kirk gushed, "Liam was all smiles and was happy to take photos with the bride and groom and congratulated the happy couple." He added that the Gale Hawthorne of "The Hunger Games" film series "wished them all the best and continued having a relaxing evening by the beach."

Despite his happy outing, Liam is currently in the middle of divorce from wife of seven months, Miley Cyrus. Back in August, the younger brother of Chris Hemsworth submitted the legal papers to end their marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. He has since been linked romantically to actress Maddison Brown.

In early December, however, it was reported that Liam's divorce case could be dismissed entirely. A notice signed on December 3 and sent by Los Angeles superior court to his attorney uncovered that he has yet to fill out the required paperwork, and risked a fine from the court.
