AceShowbiz - Chad Johnson seemingly reflects on his dark moment in the past with ex Evelyn Lozada through his recent post on Twitter. The basketball star responded to a fan's tweet in which s/he asked for a tip how to "stay so positive" on Monday, December 9.
Chad revealed to the fan that he was able to be positive after getting a learning lesson from what appeared to be the domestic violence incident during his marriage to the "Basketball Wives" star. "Sis, i lost my temper for 3 seconds years ago & it cost me a lifetimes worth of work in less than 24hrs, it's REALLY easy to be positive now after getting it all back," he wrote.
This might be the first time for Chad to talk about the incident. Meanwhile, Evelyn previously opened up about it during her appearance on OWN's "Iyanla: Fix My Life" back in September 2012. "It was on the weekend and he had started training camp. I went to the grocery store with his daughter and I was taking the bags out of the car," she told Iyanla Vanzant about several red flags that she ignored prior to the incident.
"He left something in there and I saw the receipt and I saw that he purchased a box of condoms. I remember looking at the date and it was three weeks after my wedding date," she added.
Evelyn shared that she confronted Chad, though "he kept saying it wasn't his and he bought them for somebody else." She continued, "You know, the BS. He grabbed my ears and that's when he headbutted me. I started bleeding and I was a little in shock. All I kept telling him was, 'Your daughter is in the house.' "
Chad was later arrested, but he pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor domestic battery.
