The 'Tamron Hall' host responds to the rumors suggesting she was difficult to work with, pointing out that the story came out after she defended Gabrielle Union.

AceShowbiz - Tamron Hall is not here for people slandering her. The syndicated talk show host slams The Daily Mail report saying she was "controlling" on the set and blaming her staff when Kelly Clarkson's show was renewed before hers. "We would have gotten an early renewal too if you were all doing a better job!" she reportedly yelled at a staff meeting.

"Welp it was bound to happen," she reacted on her Instagram, adding that "the ole difficult and angry" narrative was "lame." She then pointed out that it was such a coincidence that the story about her "blowing a gasket" came out after she came to Gabrielle Union's defense on her show amid the debacle following the actress' firing from "America's Got Talent".

"It's ironic that a few days after I said on my show that I've seen 'men storm out of rooms, puffing and huffing, and no one says anything' while 'women [who] speak up [are viewed] as difficult' that someone would leak a false story about me being difficult," said the former NBC News correspondent.

The 49-year-old host added, "As I said live on my show while defending Gabrielle Union, women are perceived as 'difficult' when they speak up." She then stressed, "I have never once complained about Kelly's renewal - I am so happy for my fellow Texan. I'm excited about my show and I can't wait for season 2!!"

While Kelly kept silent, Gabrielle responded on Twitter by firmly supporting Tamron, "They tried it. We've seen this soooooo many times, way too many to be fooled by the tired a** 'Angry Black Woman' tropes." She additionally accused the gossip site of deliberately picking photos that would cast Tamron in a negative light, "The photos selected [frown] #comeonson." She concluded, "@tamronhall thank you for being a truth teller."

Tamron also received a lot of support from other celebrities like Gail Simmons and Holly Robinson Peete. "Don't sweat it sis. We know the deal," Holly wrote. Rapper Twista commented, "You gotta be strong in this game, what they thought." Stephanie Mills said, "Don't give them Energy! Your fabulous Walk in it."

Nicci Gilbert penned, "Sister we stand in the gap with you Thank You for speaking up for us and I LOVE #TheTamronHallShow." Joy-Ann Reid left a similar comment, "Brush them off your shoulders, sis! Keep shining and being the amazing person you are!!"
