The 'Tamron Hall Show' host stops by E! News to talk about how people thought that the host was being too hard on the 'Real Housewives of Miami' star when she appeared on her talk show.

AceShowbiz - Tamron Hall is defending herself following her controversial interview with Larsa Pippen. "The Tamron Hall Show" host stopped by E! News to talk about how people thought that the host was being too hard on the reality TV star when she appeared on her talk show.

"You know, we're all entitled to the way we feel but the reality and how I approached every interview–I want people to know that they're in a safe space. I want them to know that this is an authentic conversation," she explained. "And my job is not waste the time of the people watching at home. Barbara Walters famously said, 'I don't want to leave an interview and have someone say, 'You should've asked that.' That's the goal."

Tamron continued, "I don't want you at home to do my job. You're already giving me your time. So for me, it's always a respect for environment. I don't benefit from, you know, an ambush interview."

She also noted that every guest on her show knows the topic that they're going to discuss. "They don't know the questions, because if you know the question, it's not an interview–it's a PR stunt. So I said to them, 'Tell me your story.' And if you're not happy with the answer you gave, that's between you and your PR team."

Internet users agreed with Tamron. "She asked the questions the people wanted answered," one person commented on Instagram. "Why else did Larsa think she was going to be interviewed? It clearly was to find out about her relationship with Michael Jordan's son," another user said.

Someone else additionally criticized the double standard. "Y'all selective af, because when [Wendy Williams] was disrespecting her guests for years no one gave her this much s**t. Everyone said she was just doing her job, so keep the same energy and leave Tamron alone," the person said.

"I love that she quoted Barbara because Barbara was much more blunt and did not receive this type of backlash. Tamron does her job and does it well," one other comment read. Further defending Tamron, someone added, "Tamron is a Journalist, not a blogger or blog site, she was doing her job. just because you dont like a question or a statement doesn't mean somebody is treating you bad."

During the interview, Tamron asked Larsa about her relationship with Marcus Jordan, who is a lot younger than her, while also bringing her ex Scottie Pippen's beef with Michael. "Why would you date Michael Jordan's son knowing that it's been pretty clear that Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan didn't have this relationship people thought and certainly don't have it now?"

"That's how Scottie feels. He has a right to the way he feels," she replied. "I personally don't really care about what other people … I live my truth, I'm happy."

Larsa additionally insisted that she and her beau "are in a really good place" even though some judge their 16-year age gap. "Age doesn't determine your level of maturity," the 48-year-old reality TV star said. "The Real Housewives of Miami" star added, "I feel like a lot of people think we've known each other for our whole lives and we have not. We met four years ago at a party," noting that they bonded over some of the things they have in common
