AceShowbiz - Reginae Carter showered her mother Toya Wright a.k.a. Toya Johnson and her fiance Robert "Red" Rushing with love following the couple's recently announced engagement. The 21-year-old actress took to Instagram on Wednesday, November 27 to pen a heartfelt message congratulating Toya and Red on their betrothal.
"Congrats to my mommy & Red true love is rare now a days so when you find it , cherish it," the "Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta" star wrote along with a photo of Toya and Red overlooking a cityscape.
Reginae was full of praise for her mother as well as her mother's fiance, adding, "my mom is my rock and to see her so happy makes my life complete ! Thanks for bringing the light back into our family red ! My mom and I are very overprotective over each other and I'm glad to know you’re there to keep her safe and her heart fulfilled . We love you so much."
The "Dear Santa, I Need a Date" star jokingly pledged that she would plan a wedding at a modest budget for the couple. "I'll plan y'all wedding for a reasonable price just because I love y'all lol," she cheekily signed off her post.
Meanwhile, Toya recently took to her Instagram Stories to share a close-up look at her engagement ring. It features a round diamond on the center with smaller stones on the platinum band. "I said... yes!" she captioned a snap of the ring.
News of Toya's engagement to Red broke on Tuesday after a video surfaced showing the couple's appearing to be celebrating the special day with their family and friends. One eyewitness captured the moment when a guest delivered a heartfelt speech to congratulate the former "Tiny and Toya" star and the Atlanta sports manager.
The 36-year-old reality TV star/rapper later confirmed it by posting on her own Instagram page a page of her holding Red's hand. "Yes! Yes! And Yes! For humbling my spirit, for restoring my faith in love, for raising the bar, for being all of what a man should be. For each of these and more I SAY YES! looking forward to forever with you," she wrote in the caption, adding "#Rushingdowntheaisle."
Toya and Red have been dating since 2017. They share a daughter together, Reign, who was born on February 8, 2018. She was previously married to Lil Wayne from 2004 until their divorce in 2006, with whom she shares her daughter Reginae. She later married Memphitz Wright in 2011, before separating in 2015.
