The person behind Joycelyn Savage's crowdfunding page might be fake and the accoubt might be shut down since they haven't confirmed their identity on the site.

AceShowbiz - The person behind the Patreon account alleging to be R. Kelly's former girlfriend Joycelyn Savage has failed to verify her identity with the crowdfunding platform.

Savage took to the site on Saturday, November 23, claiming Kelly led her to believe he would help launch her career as a model and singer and even recorded songs with her, but then gave her commands as she started to realise she was a prisoner in his home.

"I didn't have any type of privacy at all now that I think about it," she wrote. "If I showered one of his assistants would have to be by the door while I shower. I couldn‘t talk to my parents in private sometimes. I was told what to say on the phone to them."

According to TMZ, however, the person behind the page has yet to confirm their identity, with a source from the company telling the publication the owner of the account will have a couple of days to provide proof that they're the real Joycelyn, or they'll be shut down.

,p> The account has made a significant amount of money, with a reported 2,000 users signing up for membership, with fees ranging from $3 to $25 . If the account does turn out to be fake, the money will be returned.

Responding to the allegations, Kelly’s lawyer, Steve Greenberg, has issued a statement to Variety, calling the situation "unfortunate," adding, "We know the real facts, and it was not until the money ran out that she decided anything was wrong. Hopefully people will see it for the obvious profiteering it is."

Kelly was arrested earlier this year on a 13-count federal indictment. He has pleaded not guilty.

Savage, along with another of the "I Believe I Can Fly" star's 'girlfriends', Azriel Clary, previously stood by the musician and claimed their parents were trying to "scam" money out of him with their allegations of abuse.
