The reggaeton singer is named the winner of Best Urban Music Album for his latest effort 'X 100Pre' during the live ceremony that takes place at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

AceShowbiz - This year's Latin Grammy Awards is extra special for Bad Bunny. Years after launching his career in the music industry, the Puerto Rican singer finally earned a trophy during the annual awards event that took place at MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Thursday, November 14.

Bunny was honored with Best Urban Music Album for his latest effort "X 100Pre", besting out Anitta's "Kisses" and Sech's "Suenos". Taking the stage to accept the accolade, the singer admitted he was so nervous before being announced as the winner of the category. He went on thanking his family for supporting him throughout his journey.

"They're the ones who are responsible for the young man I am today," he said. "And despite how high people will take me because the people are the ones who lift me up, I remain with my feet on the ground. Thank you for the people who work with me day to day." He went on saying, "Reggaeton is a global genre. To all the musicians who are making reggaeton, let's put some more effort into it and bring something new to the people!"

Earlier during the event, Mon Laferte caught people's attention when she read a chilling poem during her acceptance speech after winning Best Alternative Album for "Norma". "Chile hurts me inside," she read. "You bleed through my every vein/ Every chain weighs on me/ That imprisons you."

Other musicians that made it to the winner list included Camila Cabello, who won both Record of the Year and Best Pop Song for her collaboration with Alejandro Sanz "Mi Persona Favorita". Rosalia also brought home multiple trophies that night thanks to her album "El Mal Querer", who nabbed Album of the Year and Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album.
