Hours after he slammed his father and Lamar's new fiancee over their sudden engagement, the 17-year-old teen takes to Twitter to apologize for his previous statement.

AceShowbiz - Lamar Odom's son Lamar Morales Odom has apparently had a change of heart about his father's engagement to Sabrina Parr. Hours after he slammed his father for not telling his family before he proposed to his girlfriend, Lamar Jr. took to Instagram again to backtrack on his earlier comment and apologize for it.

Admitting that he was "hurt and caught off guard" by the surprise announcement, Lamar Jr. blamed his hateful comment on a lapse of judgment. "Last night I was emotional seeing my father got engaged through social media," he posted along with a throwback photo of him and his sister Destiny Morales-Odom with their father. "At the end of the day, I am a teenager, that is becoming a young man. I have to be responsible for what I post, I have nothing but love for my dad and want what's best for him."

Lamar and Sabrina announced their engagement on late Monday, November 11, after dating since August. "Introducing my new fiance!! Soon to be Mrs. Parr-Odom. She the ONE!!!! @getuptoparr," the 40-year-old athlete wrote along with their picture at Prime 112, a high-end steakhouse. The life coach put her hand on his chest, showing off her engagement ring.

Sabrina took to her own social media account to give closer looks at her new sparkler. The ring features a huge pear-shaped diamond surrounded by smaller stones set on platinum band. "I SAID YES!!!!! @lamarodom #mrsparrodom #lamarandsabrina," she wrote in the caption, adding a ring and a bride emoji.

Lamar Jr. later reacted to the engagement news in a now-deleted post. "Not a text or a phone call to see how people who've know this dude his whole life to see how we would feel or react. Knew shawty for 4 months and already got you twisted," the 17-year-old wrote in the comment section of the professional basketball player's post.

He added, "fam n friends already don't approve of homegirl but she already got your a** ina sunken place. Shame family gotta find out on social media but that's been how life been all the time as a son of an odom."

Lamar Jr. and his sister Destiny are two of three children Lamar shares with his ex Liza Morales. They also had a son named Jayden, but he died at six-and-a-half months old on June 29, 2006 from sudden infant death syndrome while sleeping in his crib in New York.
