AceShowbiz - Trina has offered explanation over a recent heated confrontation she had with a white woman at Walmart after the latter hurled the N-word at her. In a new interview, the 44-year-old rapper reveals that the whole thing went down after she tried to help the stranger, only to get cursed.
On TMZ Live, Trina said that she saw the woman openly crying in the store, which is located Cooper City, Florida, prompting the emcee to wanting to console her. "I didn't bump into her in the store ... this lady was way across in the kids section, just shopping with clothes, and she was just crying," Trina recalled.
The emcee continued, "And I just looked over and was like, 'Oh, hi. Are you OK?' And she looked up like a demon--demonic, very evil, satanic witch. And she was like, 'Get away from me, you n****r b***h.' " Feeling confused, Trina then opted to just walk away. She continued saying that some people later came up to her and told her that they had also heard the woman use the racial slur.
When Trina went to the register, she and her friend saw the woman again and that was when all hell broke loose. "As I got to the register, my friend said, 'You owe my friend an apology.' And that's when she just looked around acting belligerent," Trina explained. "I said, 'Say it again. You called me a n****r, and I am a n****r--one that will whoop your a**.' "
"This is not the 1800s. This is not the slavery days.... I live in that area, in a very nice area ... I don't do racial slurs ... this is not gonna happen," she warned. "We're not slaves, and you're gonna get your ass whooped--anybody next time that calls me anything outside of my name."
During the verbal fight, it was reported that police were called to the scene, but no report was filed as Trina ultimately decided against doing so. However, she was then escorted out of the store and to her vehicle, citing "safety reason." On the other hand, the woman who used racial slur against the Diamond Princess artist allegedly did not speak to the responding officers at all.
People quickly rallied behind her after the video of the fight hit the web. "There is no reason to call people slurs, period but especially when it was probably the white lady's fault," one said. "Trina spazzing in Walmart is the energy I'm on this season. I'm not playing with y'all," another wrote, as someone else noted, "What we not finna do is disrespect my F***ING QUEEN TRINA!"
