AceShowbiz - Justin Bieber's dreams of becoming a movie star have been given a big boost - production on his first film, "Cupid", is now underway.

Bieber's manager Scooter Braun will be producing the film with Marvel Studios founding chairman David Maisel under their new production banner Mythos Studios, which they launched in 2018.

Bieber's new film, an animated musical, will be directed by music video veteran Pete Candeland. Bieber has been cast as the leading man to voice the god of desire, whose parents are Venus and Mars.

In addition to "Cupid", superhero blockbusters "Fathom" and "Soulfire" are also in production at Mythos Studios as part of a three-project debut for the company, with Kevin Adams and Joe Ksander tapped to direct the two features.
