AceShowbiz - Queen has released three new music videos in collaboration with more than 10,000 fans worldwide.
Back in July, the rockers' 1975 track "Bohemian Rhapsody" was announced as the first pre-1990s track to reach over one billion streams on YouTube, and the band marked the occasion by launching a project titled "You Are the Champions", allowing fans the opportunity to take part in three new user-generated videos for three of their most recognizable tracks: "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Don't Stop Me Now" and "A Kind of Magic".
More than 10,000 fans from over 120 countries around the world answered the call and, on Thursday, October 24, the finished visuals were released on the site.
Each clip has a theme: the video for "Bohemian Rhapsody" is a musician/singer performance-based video for "Bohemian Rhapsody", an entire dance-based visual for "Don't Stop Me Now", and a montage of bespoke work from visual artists for "A Kind of Magic".
To celebrate the launch of the videos, Queen's drummer Roger Taylor said, "Glad you could all join us. Welcome."
Reflecting on the fan support, guitarist Brian May added, "It's one of the most rewarding things that can happen to an artist of any kind: to see that our work has inspired folk all around the world to create their own performances and visual art is a thrill."
"The diversity of their vision is astonishing," he continued. "Big thanks to everyone who participated."
