AceShowbiz - It appears Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson's relationship isn't all sunshine and rainbows as how it looks like on social media. The Australian singer was overheard complaining about his singer girlfriend while spending his time at Andrew Boy Charlton Pool in Sydney, Australia on Thursday morning, October 24.
An onlooker told Daily Mail that Cody was heard telling a friend over the phone, "We had a weird one yesterday... not really an argument but she kind of shut down." He then added, "Yeah, it was kind of s***ty, but whatever." Not stopping there, he also discussed the negative response he received ever since he went public with Miley, suggesting that the people in the country are still rooting for Miley to get back together with estranged husband Liam Hemsworth.
"I'm copping s**t here because of [her] exes. You know, her husband is Australian," Cody told his friend. Shorty after the phone call, the blonde hunk allegedly got into the pool and swam a few laps of butterfly. He also FaceTimed a pal to show the view from the harbor pool.
Cody has yet to respond to this story, though he recently gushed over Miley by calling her "archangel and best mate." He added, "Miss you every second. Home tomorrow & so so glad."
Cody was in Australia to film the country's version of "The Masked Singer", on which he was unveiled to be the winner of its latest season. In addition to that, the "Golden Thing" singer opened up about his romance with Miley while doing interviews in his home country.
He said of their relationship in one interview, "She's a babe and I'm stoked! We've vowed to be open about it from now on and it makes all so much easier than us trying to run around and be exclusive in Hollywood, trying not to get seen in cafes. That s**t sounds so wack. Now we don't have to UberEats all the time, we can be a normal couple and go out like normal couples do."
